Job Description

The TPA Success Specialist works in a team-based environment responsible for retention of group retirement clients and assists, as needed, our partnered independent Third-Party Administrator “TPA” and Advisors with any technical client questions and concerns navigating and using Ubiquity’s TPA portal. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist TPA partners in using Ubiquity’s technology for their administrative duties of managing client retirement plans and Pooled Employer Retirement plans on the Ubiquity platform
  • Remain current and informed of retirement industry and legislative changes
  • Communicate with TPAs and financial advisors through phone and written media (emails, tickets) to respond to questions and concerns - i.e., website navigation and use, other general plan operational questions, within Ubiquity’s SLAs
  • Work closely with internal departments, i.e., Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Product – to obtain necessary specialized information as needed for TPA support
  • Work with clients and vendors to ensure accurate and timely response to all outstanding client/plan issues within Ubiquity’s SLAs
  • Protect and secure handling of all confidential data in accordance with Ubiquity’s internal written policies and procedures
  • Partner with team members on process improvement, service enhancements, and infrastructure development
  • Actively seeks improvements to Customer Experience for TPA partners
  • Document and ensure resolution of escalations

Communication - Use of appropriate and effective language used for a given situation and actively engages in conversations to understand others’ message

Integrity - Ability to develop and ensure high standards of quality control that promote accuracy and accountability and minimize operational risk


  • 2 - 4 years experience in financial services with 2 years directly selling and/or servicing financial products (i.e., IRAs, retirement plans, brokerage accounts
  • Experience working with TPA’s
  • ASPPA, ERPA or other Retirement Plan licensures a plus
  • Knowledge of 401(k) industry practices and procedures
  • The ability to multitask and switch priorities quickly is key -- you thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment!
  • Exceptional communicator, both written and verbally
  • Advanced working knowledge and understanding of retirement plans and associated regulations and IRS tax rules
  • 2+ years of relevant relationship management experience
  • Recommended background in finance, economics, business administration, HR, etc.
