Job Description – Your Role

We are looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and team-oriented Plan Consultant to join our experienced team.  In this position, customer service is paramount. The Plan Consultant is the day-to-day face of APB Retirement.  You will handle a case load of dedicated clients and be responsible for the daily administration of retirement plans; be the primary communicator, and facilitator of annual compliance testing and Form 5500s.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintaining and developing existing customer relationships with varying demographics and industries.
• Providing front line support to clients with their question related to the administration and recordkeeping of their plan.
• Performing annual compliance testing valuations.
• Reviewing an interpreting plan documents, amendments, and notices.
• Assisting clients with effective plan design based on their needs and goals.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• A self-starter who can handle a broad variety of tasks without micro-management.
• A person who is energized by interacting with customers.
• At least 1-2 years of experience working in defined contribution plan administration or a related industry.
• Ability to read and interpret retirement plan documents and have a basic understanding of the related rules and regulations.
• Microsoft Excel including the use of formulas and overall ability to learn and use different software packages. 
• ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or higher credential preferred.
• Experience with Relius Administration preferred.
