Senior Plan Administrator

Come Grow with Us! The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and detailed Defined Contribution Pension Administrator to join our team in the New England Region. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships and service our rapidly growing client base. This position can work from anywhere!

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and self-motivated professional to join our growing Defined Contribution Team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage an assigned case load (approx. 80 clients)
  • Cultivate existing client relationship with clients and advisors
  • Perform compliance testing to include ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy and 401(a)(4) non-discrimination testing, determine corrective measures as needed
  • Reconcile a variety of plan assets
  • Calculation of plan contributions and allocations
  • Preparation of Form 5500, including any schedules needed
  • Calculate RMDs, Review QDROs
  • Identify potential plan design opportunities

Knowledge and Key Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • ASC valuation and ASC document experience
  • Ftwilliam for 5500s experience
  • PensionPro experience helpful
  • Work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Follow through on all promises to clients, advisors and recordkeepers
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure

Education and Experience Required:

  • Professional designation (ASPPA, NIPA) preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of 401(k) plan administration experience
