'The Third-Party Administrator is responsible for administration work on a variety of types of retirement plans. This position is accountable for correct entry of client data as well as final calculations and preparation of valuations. In addition, this position requires presentation and review of final materials to clients, therefore a proficiency in retirement plan design and administration is necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a caseload of small/mid-size clients, handling correspondence and communication via phone, email, and/or in-person meetings.
  • Prepare and/or review qualified retirement plan documents and amendments utilizing approved software.
  • Prepare and/or review qualified retirement plan compliance testing using approved software.
  • Prepare and/or review Forms 5500 & 8955-SSA utilizing approved software.
  • Manage client communication.
  • Contribution calculations.
  • Cross testing projections and calculations.
  • Plan design consulting.
  • Workflow database maintenance.
  • Review and scrub census data for accuracy and missing information.
  • Calculate corrective distributions for testing failures, including associated earnings, along with Form 5330.
  • Calculate lost earnings on late deposits of 401k deferrals and/or loan repayments
  • Navigate various recordkeeping websites to access reports and review transactions
  • Support auditors for large plan audits by gathering requested reports and transaction detail
  • Review distribution and loan requests to determine if in good order or if additional information is needed.
  • Reconcile financial and participant information between financial institutions and individual participant accounts.
  • Collect/prepare and distribute required plan notices including but not limited to: Safe Harbor, Qualified Default Investment Alternative, automatic enrollment and fee disclosures.
  • Research plan-related issues and corrective measures.
  • Assist in the establishment and refine administrative standards and procedures for qualified retirement plan.
  • Establish and manage team deliverables, ensuring service level objectives are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Monitor progress against objectives and goals.
  • Proactively identify and implement ways to improve client satisfaction and deliver results.
  • Work in a team environment to collaborate on and deliver client services and assist others when needed.
  • Attend training on retirement plan administration.
