Employee Benefits International is a growing insurance brokerage firm specializing in full spectrum employee benefits and compliance solutions. Our comprehensive service platform provides risk management, HR technology solutions, compliance consultancy, HR guidance resources and so much more.

We are in search of a detail obsessed, customer-oriented Account Coordinator to support our Account Executives and Managers of Large Employer Groups. This critical role consists of assisting with all aspects of servicing and preparing client materials, such as: proposals, marketing documents, applications, and communication materials, while simultaneously providing on-going client customer service. Enthusiasm to support our team as they provide execution and maintenance of top-notch benefits packages is essential for success. You must be extremely focused, highly efficient, thrive on organization, and communicate effectively. This role also requires the ability to fluidly move between working independently, managing and prioritizing the workload, and collaborating with team members.

This is a full-time, on-site position which requires you to be licensed in life and health insurance in the state of Arizona. Salary range is $48,000 to $67,000 annually depending on experience. We also offer valuable benefits to enhance our employee experience.

More Details:


  • Agile computer and internet navigation skills, and implementation of current best practices
  • Microsoft Suite intermediate experience+ with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • 3+ years of employee benefits or related industry experience
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentage calculation with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Professional demeanor and personal presentation, with exceptional communication skills
  • Analytical and intuitive with the ability to combine and balance both appropriately
  • Deductive reasoning skillset with the ability to identify, interpret and solve complicated problems
  • Demonstrates a high level of organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven current industry-specific product knowledge


  • Oversee client census process ensuring all necessary information is obtained, scrub and analyze data for submission
  • Create Requests for Proposal’s (RFP’s) for carrier solicitations, track and monitor progress, field questions, and review quotes for accuracy to RFP specifications
  • Co-facilitate enrollment process with Account Executive/Managers as needed
  • Maintain client records in agency database and file systems
  • Request and monitor delivery of renewals from carriers
  • Responsible for electronic file set-up for new accounts and ongoing maintenance of file system
  • Customize Employee Navigator portal
  • Support Account Executives/Managers with implementation of new lines of coverage and carrier changes to ensure smooth launches and transitions
  • Assist with preparation of communication and proof reading of materials for both internal and external purposes such as benefit guides, client presentations, and marketing analysis reports
  • Manage file feed set up with 3rd party vendors and carrier partners
  • Provide back-up support for online benefits administration platform
  • Attend client functions and key meetings as necessary
  • Create and send weekly newsletters to clients
  • Handle escalated service and compliance issues with clients and carriers
  • Provide customer service for client human resource personnel and employees by answering benefit, billing and service questions and working to effectively resolve issues

Pay: $50,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
