WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?

The Client Service Associate assists Client Service Managers in RETIREMENT PLAN ADMINISTRATION industry with participant and client support, which will involve direct communication with external clients.  Acts as a liaison to the Contact Center on behalf of  Retirement Client Services and Operations for defined tasks.  Assembles documentation for services offered, policy or product summaries, presentations, etc. for clients and internal teams. Coordinates information flow from client through the organization and back to the client. Creates, develops, and maintains client files and ensure questions are routed to the appropriate team member.  Manages and participates in other projects as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Retirement /Benefits Administration role or other client-facing office experience.
  • Knowledge of RETIREMENT benefits regulations, plan design, and industry best practices.
  • Superior record of successfully supporting managing positions.
  • Consistency and accuracy in all work, projects and assignments.

SKILLS

  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, O365 and other office applications.
  • Adept and learning and using new software. A “roll up the sleeves and figure it out” attitude.
  • Comfortable working with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Competent analytical thinker. Able to consolidate data from different sources, identifying patterns in data, identifies and distinguishes between cause and correlation, and relates back to what the data is measuring.
  • Competent at organizing and managing tasks. Able to prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail. Is able to move from high-level review to detail checking very quickly. Can spot errors and inconsistencies in complex data. Can compare large data sets and able to memorize relationships and patterns to speed up the process. Is able to reorganize, codify and present data from many sources.
  • Strong communications skills to effectively communicate complex issues to team members and clients verbally and in writing.
  • High level of initiative, develops ways to speed up repetitive tasks, makes suggestions and generates support for changes to working practices, goes beyond what is required in role to meet own standards.
