Who We Are and What We Do

Compass 360, LLC is a third-party administrator (TPA) that provides client companies with fiduciary-level retirement plan design, administration, actuarial services, and ongoing consulting services to ensure our clients’ plans are in compliance with DOL, ERISA, IRS, and other regulations.  Our headquarters are in Stratham, NH, but our clients are nationwide in various industries and sizes.  We are passionate about the use of technology and are always looking for more streamlined ways to perform tasks.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a uniquely talented individual with experience in both full-cycle retirement plan administration and leading and training others.  Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively are key attributes we look for in all our employees.  Those with at least 5 years of relevant industry (working for a financial advisor, investment company, or TPA) experience and Datair, Pension Pro, or FT Williams software knowledge, and prior experience training or managing others are highly desirable.  Those with NIPA or ASPPA designations or those interested in obtaining them are encouraged to apply. 

What You Will Do

The Retirement Plan Services Team Leader will lead a team of 5-8 client-facing reps to ensure regular deadlines and objectives are met with a high level of accuracy while working with an assigned book of business to perform annual testing, asset valuations, calculations, and complete required filings.  This will require that you work with team members and internal and external customers including financial advisors, CPAs, clients, and others. 

Team Leader (60%):

  • ensure clients’ payroll contribution are processed and uploaded timely and accurately
  • manage participant communications (annual notices, enrollment kits, blackout notices, and fee disclosures)
  • create written guidelines and SOPs for daily tasks such as processing distributions and loans according to best practices and DOL regulations.
  • determine a more efficient way of completing tasks including a better use of technology and software. 
  • create a training program that engages and educates new staff. 

Plan Administrator (40%):

  • build relationships with clients by starting conversations to educate them in best practices
  • correct errors and late deferrals as needed
  • perform annual testing, asset valuations, calculations, and complete required filings
  • complete excess distribution forms for client and follow-up with client and vendors as necessary to ensure the corrections were made
  • review plan documents and service agreements for new clients and upload required information into software. 
  • calculate employer contributions and true-up contributions accurately and timely
  • upload vesting information to vendor websites to ensure accuracy
  • create plan termination packages and follow through on required steps
  • identify RMD eligible participants and mandatory force-out distributions
