Job Title:  Compliance Manager

Location: Philadelphia, PA - Remote Flexibility 

Overview: A rapidly growing Center City, Philadelphia 401(k) third party administration and recordkeeping firm has an immediate opening for an experienced Compliance Manager to join a rapidly growing Plan Documents/Compliance Department.  The firm is one of the 100 fastest growing companies in the Philadelphia Region and seeks a qualified candidate to assist with all aspects of qualified & non-qualified plan compliance. 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of self-corrections and submissions to the DOL & IRS for employee benefit matters
  • Representation of clients before IRS and DOL with regard to employee benefits matters
  • Updating plan specs in the recordkeeping system based on changes due to plan amendments
  • Employee benefit compliance subject matter expert (internally & externally)
  • Sophisticated compliance consulting (internally & externally) for plan establishment, ongoing operations (particularly plan mergers & acquisitions) and plan termination
  • Assist with escalations across the organization
  • Preparation of annual fiduciary notices for all plan years
  • Assist the Year-End Administration Team with compliance-related issues (i.e. partial plan termination determinations, controlled group determinations, etc.), review annual compliance testing and employer contribution calculations and provide consulting related to projections (e.g., plan design changes)
  • Ownership of an internal Compliance related case queue meeting anticipated resolution dates
  • Process and service enhancements for third-party administration and recordkeeping services
  • Internal Quality Assurance (QA) of existing department’s processes and procedures (distributions processed correctly, automatic enrollment working correctly, etc.)
  • Own compliance for all Forms & similar online interfaces
  • Providing compliance updates and content for Marketing, Sales and other teams (Compliance alerts, sponsor & advisor newsletters, webinars, etc.)
  • Provide support for our Sales team (internal & external)

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience drafting plan documents and participant communications
  • Ability to provide consultative feedback related to the establishment, design and ongoing administration
  • Plan design related to Non-Qualified Retirement Plans
  • Relius Administration experience preferred
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • FT William plan document experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent client service/communication skills
  • QKA preferred
