What you will do:
A My Benefits, LLC Pension Analyst is primarily responsible for partnering with the Plan Administration and Participant Services teams to support the administration, communication and consulting with financial advisors and their business owner clients.  This highly motivated, dynamic and articulate individual must be dedicated to help support the success of teammates, clients and partners.  Your personal interaction skills will be heavily utilized when communicating meaningful deliverables to financial services professionals, business owners, human resource professionals and colleagues.  As a My Benefits, LLC Pension Analyst, you will be joining a collaborative team of peers and colleagues working on game-changing retirement plan solutions.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Taking direct ownership in facilitating the timely and accurate submission of annual client employee census data and questionnaire responses
  • Retrieve, log, review, and upload annual employee census data provided by plan sponsors
  • Communicate and gather missing and/or inaccurate plan data required for annual plan administration
  • Retrieve yearly statements from recordkeeping vendors
  • Reconciliation of asset and broker statements, as needed
  • Preparation of draft Form 5500 and related schedules from Asset Reconciliations
  • Prepare and upload current year data to compliance system
  • Answer questions for clients regarding the website and data transmission
  • Run/evaluate employee eligibility including identifying HCE/Key employees.
  • Prepare census workbook for Plan Administrator review
  • Obtain and upload vendor data to compliance system
  • Working knowledge of all vendor platforms
  • Complete Asset reconciliation workbook including contribution reconciliations by participant, as needed
  • Identify receivables and work with client to reconcile any variances in contributions
  • Draft IRS Form 8955 SSA as needed
  • Answer inbound calls from Financial Advisors and Plan Sponsors
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to technical questions, requests for information or navigating our Plan Sponsor Link or issues
  • When necessary escalate calls to the Plan Admin for higher level technical consulting
  • Return calls/messages received before 3:00 pm in same day
  • Work with internal teams to ensure the highest level of customer service
  • Special projects including but not limited to RMD’s, Plan Notices, and Involuntary Cash-outs


What you need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills required with heavy emphasis on Excel capabilities (Must past company provided proficiency test)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly, confidently, and professionally convey complex subject matter in an approachable way
  • Retirement plan service & support and/or accounting skills preferred
  • Excellent math, analytical, and organization skills; attention to detail
  • Commitment to working in a team environment
  • Goes the extra mile without being asked
