Carpenter Morse Group is a well-known TPA firm located in Longwood, Florida. We have been proudly providing retirement plan administration to our valued clients for over 45 years. We are currently looking for an individual who enjoys being part of a great team, takes a real sense of pride in their communication with clients and is looking to grow professionally.  

We are seeking an experienced 401(k) administrator to prepare full valuation reports for a book of assigned clients. Valuation report includes preparation of financial statements, IRS tax filings, DOL reporting and completion of all non-discrimination testing by the required annual deadlines. The position of Retirement Plan Administrator is held to a very high standard of accuracy and knowledge. The individual is also responsible for all verbal and written communication with the client throughout the year providing expertise and consultation regarding all matters pertaining to ERISA.

We will consider both local candidates and remote working employees. 

Daily Responsibilities Include:

• Reconciliation of trust assets
• Eligibility Determination
• Annual compliance testing including ADP/ACP, 410(b), 401(a)(4) and top heavy non-discrimination testing
• Preparation of Forms 5500-SF and 8955-SSA
• Daily communication with Plan Sponsors via email, phone calls and GoToMeetings
• Plan Document amendments and restatements as needed

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years of retirement plan administration experience
• Proficiency in Relius Administration software
• Ability to work independently with management review and support
• Deadline oriented with excellent time management
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, financial advisors and record-keepers
• High degree of organization and attention to detail
