Operating as a team, we manage over 100 corporate retirement plans. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for helping organizations support their company sponsored retirement plans as well as guiding their employees towards their own retirement goals.

 Candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to: 

  • Manage and proactively grow existing book of Company Sponsored Retirement Plans.
  • Strategically build strong client, business owner, and plan trustee relationships through consistent, effective contact.
  • Enhance client retention by delivering annual plan and investment reviews to decision-makers.
  • Deliver all aspects of the enrollment, re-enrollment, and education process.  Includes assessing needs of both the Plan Sponsor and employees and determining content.
  • Increase employee participation rate by conducting group education presentations and one on one participant sessions.
  • As this position is heavy on servicing, respond timely to plan inquiries received via email or phone from participants, plan administrators, vendors and trustees.
  • Oversee ongoing plan maintenance tasks including notices to participants, contribution tracking, create special reports where requested, and ensure full compliance for each Plan.
  • Participate or assist with sales presentations to win additional Retirement Plan business for the firm.
  • Provide ERISA fiduciary training to help educate Plan Sponsors on Fiduciary best practices.
  • Collect necessary benchmarking data to submit plan proposal requests from vendors. Analyze proposal specifics including fund expenses, fund family options, Plan provisions, and broker compensation choices.
  • Approximately 30% Travel is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management
  • 2-3 years of client facing Retirement Plan experience with proven history of retention and client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate a passion to help Plan Sponsors and their employees achieve Retirement goals.
  • Strong knowledge of IRS, DOL and ERISA laws and regulations
  • FINRA Series 6 and 65, or Series 7 and 66 License, OH Life/Health Insurance License, is required.  Licenses may be achieved upon hire.
  • Strong organizational, group presentation, and communication skills. Attention to complex plan detail and problem resolution techniques required
  • Strong management skills, including the ability to effectively plan, monitor, influence, negotiate, supervise and delegate
  • Ability to present to a range of audiences adapting to culture to be successful
  • Team oriented to obtain both firm and individual goals
  • Sales and Third Party Administration experience a plus
