July Business Services (JULY) is seeking a sales professional to join our team as an Internal Sales Consultant supporting our East Coast territories.  This is an opportunity to enhance a career in financial sales helping small businesses and their employees create 401(k) and other retirement plans and save for the future.  JULY is a growing firm that believes in hard work, high-touch service, creating innovative products and services, building strong relationships, and giving back to others.  We have a national sales presence, in-house technology strengths, strong core values, and an entrepreneurial spirit. 

The person in this role will report to the Senior Director of New Business, support sales team members, and have the opportunity for upward promotion with the ability to build a long-term career in financial services, including the possibility of moving into an external sales role as JULY expands into new territories.


  • Assist Regional Sales Directors with creating and implementing a sales plan for the territory.
  • Prepare retirement plan proposals and plan design options for our sales team and their prospective clients.
  • Support advisors and prospective clients via reactive and proactive phone and email communication.


  • Respond to inbound calls and build relationships with advisors, third party administrators, and key referral partners.
  • Respond to a wide variety of inquiries, including plan design, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead advisors and prospective clients through the post-sales setup paperwork process.
  • Learn and understand JULY’s business model, strengths, product offerings, and fees.
  • Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously by leveraging strong organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with other JULY team members to improve and automate sales processes.
  • Leverage technology to support proposal generation and setup paperwork process.

Experience / Credentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree with specialization in Accounting, Marketing, Finance, or Professional Selling
  • Strong communication and sales skills
  • Knowledge of financial services and the retirement plan industry
  • Understanding of retirement plan design, retirement products, and investments
  • QPFC, QKA or equivalent designation or willingness to attain within 18 months
  • Experience in an open-architecture environment and working with fee-based RIAs a plus
