Assistant Administrator for 401(k)-Cash Balance Team

Pollard & Associates is a 50-year old pension firm located in Hunt Valley, Maryland.  We have been in a growth mode for over a decade and continue to look for both experienced and entry level positions to add to our staff.  This posting is for an entry level/assistant with a minimum of 2 years experience in the retirement field.  This position can be done either remotely or in our Hunt Valley office.

We are looking for someone with 401(k) experience to work with our Combo 401(k)-Cash Balance Team; someone with strong math & excel skills, who is eager to learn new skills unique to the needs of our administrative & actuarial team.   

An assistant position will include multiple tasks related to plan administration, testing, and reporting, including the following:

• Census prep & review, including follow up questions/communication with clients;
• Input of census data into ftWilliams & Datair software;
• Reconciling 401(k) & CB deposits;
• Determining eligibility for testing & contribution allocation;
• Assistance with preparation of form 5500 & related schedules;
• Annual Report preparation.

Attention to detail, great communication skills, organization & time management skills are all essential to success in this position.
