Acuff & Associates, one of the largest regional consulting firms offering both Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit administration and consulting, has an opening for a Plan Document Analyst.

The Plan Document Analyst is an experienced associate tasked with drafting plan documents for Defined Benefit and Defined Contributions plans.

Essential Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Review marketing materials and existing plan documents to generate new plan documents, summary plan descriptions and notices in FIS/Relius.
• Generate plan amendments and Summary of Material Modifications.
• Generate legislative restatements and model amendments.
• Upload plan documents for client signature.
• Work with Relationship Managers or clients to obtain client signatures by expected dates.
• Work with Marketing and Conversions Teams on document specific compliance situations.
• Update document specifications in Workflow and other systems used.
• Track projects in Workflow.
• Attend webinars/conferences resulting in legislative changes affecting retirement plans.
• Generate reports providing metrics on plan documents, plans, and projects.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overtime may be required as workload or regulatory deadlines warrant.

Minimum Qualifications

• Retirement plan document drafting experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or two to four years minimum industry experience.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.
• Proven strong analytical skills, including ability to identify a situation and providing effective resolutions.
• Team-oriented personality with the ability to also work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with FIS/Relius Documents and PensionPro preferred.
• NIPA, ASPPA and/or ERPA credentials preferred.
