Job Description

EisnerAmper has experienced significant growth and is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for our Tax Employee Benefits Group to manage our defined contribution practice. In this role you will be involved in both servicing existing long standing clients in a compliance/consulting role as well as in new business opportunities. You will also be involved in thought leadership opportunities, as well as developing and mentoring staff.

At EisnerAmper, we provide tax compliance, advisory, and advocacy services for a diverse client base that includes the retirement plans of corporations and partnerships of all sizes, as well as high net worth individuals and families, and other operating entities. While some clients operate entirely based in the U.S., many have international interests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of defined contribution plan third-party administration and tax compliance services for 401(k)/profit sharing plans and 403(b) plans
  • Conducting and managing nondiscrimination testing and corrections for single plans and controlled groups
  • Providing sophisticated advisory services related to the design of new plans or redesign of existing plans
  • Assisting and representing clients utilizing IRS and DOL correction programs, as well as in audits
  • Management of firm sponsored prototype plan documents utilized by clients, including advising clients on voluntary plan amendments and oversight of required periodic restatement of plan documents
  • Working on proposals and assisting in developing new business
  • Expanding services to existing clients
  • Supervising engagements and special projects undertaken by the group
  • Maintaining knowledge of new tax issues and general retirement industry trends that affect clients

Basic qualifications for the opportunity

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, or equivalent field
  • 10 + years of progressive experience in the tax employee benefits space
  • 5 + years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates

Ideally, you'll also have

  • ERPA or CPC credentials
