Life & Annuity Dept Supervisor

Shuster Financial Group, LLC

Position Summary

Hands-on supervisor of the risk management department (life, annuity, LTC). This position will be leading the team servicing the inforce book of business and supporting new business activities (no sales requirement). Vitally important is the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

In-force Client Service

  • Preparation and/or request and analysis of inforce illustrations (UL, VUL, Index, Term)
  • Summarize inforce options using Excel for presentation to the client
  • Implement changes to policies, i.e. address change, beneficiary change, sub-account allocation and rebalancing, etc.
  • Communicate with clients verbally and electronically
  • Outbound check-in calls to clients

Administration

  • Maintain correspondence, client files, and records according to company’s compliance guidelines

New Business

  • Collaborate with sales team on case design
  • Preparation and/or request illustrations (UL, VUL, Index, Term)
  • Summarize illustrations using Excel for presentation to the prospect/client
  • Craft and assemble client presentations using pre-built templates
  • Prepare and review applications for completeness, identifying and collecting outstanding requirements, including initial premium, and managing the process through policy issue and delivery
  • Order/coordinate insurance exam, order medical records, and complete any required follow-ups with APS provider
  • Review issued policies for accuracy
  • Periodic client invoicing

Requirements/Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years working in the insurance/financial services industry
  • Minimum of 2 years managing a team
  • Life, Accident & Health insurance license required
  • Strong product knowledge of multiple life insurance carriers and products
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Prior knowledge of advanced estate and executive bonus concepts is a plus
