Retirement Plan Coordinator


in Pittsburgh PA

Manages and services corporate client retirement accounts on an ongoing basis. This includes serving as point of contact for, and facilitating, all Client and Participant interactions as they pertain to Hefren’s robust services to the Retirement Plan.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees conversion of retirement plans to HT Corporate Services, and among record-keepers
  • Conducts ongoing employee education meetings.
  • Conducts individual employee consulting meetings.
  • Completes and presents Annual Fiduciary Reviews to Plan Trustees.
  • Completes and presents Mid-Year Planning Meetings to Plan Trustees. 
  • Interfaces with financial advisor to provide ongoing services to retirement plan clients.
  • Consults with plan sponsor regarding appropriate changes to retirement plan design to enhance plan effectiveness.
  • Interfaces with Third-Party Administrators regarding possible plan design changes.
  • Maintains client files on Hefren-Tillotson network.
  • Perform special projects and assignments as required.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • Series 7 and Series 66 required (or obtained immediately after hire), and CFP accreditation preferred.
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Public speaking skills
  • Strong computer skills must include e-mail, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, as well as having understanding of advanced concepts with Excel spreadsheets
