ESOP Client Onboarding Manager

As a Client Onboarding Manager in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Administration area, you will partner with new clients and will coordinate and manage all aspects of onboarding  and providing the expert customer service warm welcome to our Principal ESOP family. You’ll proactively build relationships with C-Suite executives, company owners, financial executives and HR personnel while balancing technical activities of the plans.

Here are a few examples of what you’ll do:

  • Working independently, act as consultant and advise clients as they navigate through the implementation phase of onboarding. 
  • Establishing and building strong client relationships through effective communication.
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of client data and setup on systems
  • Educating and coaching new clients in processes, expectations and technical requirements
  • Administer the ‘first year’ ESOP recordkeeping with clients requiring highly technical expertise and workmanship
  • Serve as the key person for the first-year experience, you’ll work with key client contacts to handle their ESOP requirements

While we prefer those with ESOP or retirement plan design and/or administration experience, we’re willing to train highly motivated people. Candidates will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. (Accounting or Finance preferred)
  • 6+ years related business experience.
  • Strong accounting, numerical critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Open to occasional overnight travel (1-3 times per year) to participate in customer meetings may be necessary.
  • Ability to balance working independently with working in a team environment to meet customer needs and achieve overall goals.
  • Possess a strong understanding of accounting and record-keeping systems and PC applications.

Our ESOP Administration team is headquartered in Appleton, WI, with offices throughout the U.S. We are open to various locations.
