401(k) Sr. Plan Administrator

Location:  Work in our corporate office in Greensboro, N.C.

Applicants must have the ability to work independently, manage client relationships and workflow deadlines.  We work in a team-oriented environment striving for an optimal client experience.  The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in Defined Contribution Plans.  Experience with RELIUS software is a plus.

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, multi-tasking full-time individual who will receive immediate responsibilities upon employment. In this position you must be dependable, organized and exceptionally attentive to detail.

Skills Needed:

Ability to research technical plan questions regarding plan design or operation and assist clients in understanding the information and options available.

  • Extensive knowledge of ERISA and subsequent Regulations.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of medium case plan administration/consulting as well as Plan Distributions/Loans.
  • Ability to complete required compliance testing including but not limited to 401(a)(4), 410(b), 402(g), 404, 415, ADP/ACP and Top Heavy.
  • Interpret plan documents and IRS / DOL regulations
  • Understanding of cross-tested Profit-Sharing contributions is preferred
  • Knowledge in non-discrimination testing and IRS filings
  • Ability to compute employer and/employee contribution calculations
  • Ability to complete DOL 5500 form filings
  • Ability to review participant distribution and loan applications
  • Provide other Plan administrative support
  • QKA, or other ASPPA Designation is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.    
  • Ability to work independently but also be part of a great team of plan administrators.
  • A "can do" attitude.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
  • QKA, or other similar ASPPA certification
  • 3+ years defined contribution experience recordkeeping experience,
  • Experience with Relius Recordkeeping & Plan administrative software is a “plus.”
