Sunwest Pensions is third party administration firm providing day-to-day administration, consulting, recordkeeping, and compliance testing for 401(k) and Defined Benefit plans. We are located in Tempe, Arizona.

Applicants must have the ability to work independently, manage client relationships and workflow deadlines.  We work in a team-oriented environment striving for an optimal client experience.  The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Defined Contribution and/or Defined Benefit Plans.  Experience with SRT or ASC software is a plus but not required.  

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, multi-tasking full-time individual who will receive immediate responsibilities upon employment. In this position you must be dependable, organized and exceptionally attentive to detail. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Establish relationship with plan sponsors
  2. Generate plan documents
  3. Complete plan amendments
  4. Interpret plan documents and IRS / DOL regulations
  5. Provide expertise, legislative technical support and plan design guidance for Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Plans
  6. Knowledge in non-discrimination testing, valuations and IRS filings
  7. Ability to complete contribution calculations
  8. Ability to complete required compliance testing including but not limited to 401(a)(4), 410(b), 402(g), 404, 415, ADP/ACP and Top Heavy.
  9. Ability to complete all necessary filings
  10. Ability to review participant distribution and loan applications
  11. Provide other administrative support
