Retirement Plan Administrator

A dynamic third-party administrative firm in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Retirement Plan Administrator to manage the relationship and administration for 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plans.  Responsible for about 75 client plans; duties include gathering employee census data, annual non-discrimination testing, 5500 reporting, contribution allocations, processing loans and distributions and interacting with plan sponsors, vendors, and Financial Advisors.  Prior experience with 403(b), DB & CB plans is helpful but not required.  The company offers competitive base salary, medical, dental, paid time off, 401(k), group-term life, flexible spending account, short-term disability, and supplemental insurance options.

Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate would have experience in the following:

  • At least 3-5 years direct industry experience
  • Preparing and filing of form 5500 and related documents
  • Managing and meeting deadlines
  • Handling annual compliance testing related to 401k & cross-tested plans
  • Good understanding of required participant disclosure notices and related deadlines
  • Reviewing and reconciling plan activity and assets
  • Communicating with clients - both verbally and in writing
  • Working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe PDFs
  • Experience working with Relius ASP, ftwilliam.com, PensionPro a plus

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of retirement plan industry, ERISA regulations, and plan documents
  • Superior communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and math skills
  • Self-motivated; demonstrated ability to work well in a small-business environment
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
  • Industry designations such as ASPPA, CRPC, CRPS, ERPA and/or QKA are a plus
