Position Summary:

Operates as part of the client relationship management team to service ARB defined contribution clients. Conducts participant enrollment and education meetings for assigned client group.   Provides retirement plan consultation to plan participants on an individual basis. Processes rollovers for participants from assigned plans.

Essential Responsibilities:

Job Function Number 1:  Client Service - 75% 

  • Conducts participant enrollment and education meetings for assigned client group. Prepares presentation materials, is familiar with mutual fund performance, and knowledgeable of defined contribution industry.
  • Conducts one-on-one individual retirement planning meetings with plan participants.
  • Acts as part of a client relationship team to deliver retirement plan services to ARB clients.
  • Maintains excellent and timely communication among all involved members of service team.
  • Collaborates with Relationship Manager to create, present and execute plan specific education plan for large clients.

 Job Function Number 2:  Materials and Curriculum Development - 25%

  • Works with ARB education team to develop and improve education materials for plan sponsors and participants.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two to three years of related experience in retirement plans in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of ERISA and other relevant laws and regulations related to the retirement plan industry.
  • Knowledge of investments and corresponding investment publications and standards.
  • Presentation skills, as well as experience with word-processing and presentation software applications such as Microsoft Word and MS Power Point.
  • Experience using webinar tools to deliver group education meetings.    

Personal Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of investments and defined contribution plan administration.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate to present information to clients in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to read, and analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Competency in computer word processing and presentation software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate workflow in a multi-task environment in order to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills such as leadership, diplomacy, judgment, decision making, discretion etc.

Physical Demands: (must be met with or without a reasonable accommodation)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer/laptop for approximately 8 hours per day.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Periodically, may also do light lifting of supplies and materials which weighs in at approximately 20 lbs.
  • Will spend most of time in an indoor environment.
  • The employee will be required to travel distances, both by air and by car.  Position requires significant nationwide travel.
