POSITION TITLE: Senior Administrator


The Senior Administrator supports all operational aspects of assigned retirement plans, including client phone contact and information gathering. The Administrator manages the annual compliance and testing cycle, including 401(k), 401(a) and 410(b) non-discrimination testing. Finally, the administrator receives calls from plan Participants and assists with support of their investment transactions and advisory support. Administrative responsibilities include supervision or hands-on production of services related to all aspects of a retirement plan's operations. The Senior Administrator will supervise an Assistant Administrator that is responsible for Contributions and Distributions as well as directed tasks by the Senior Administrators.


  • Handles complex client technical work
  • Assists in training or answering questions for the Plan Participants
  • Trust accounting, compliance testing (including ADP / ACP discrimination testing, top heavy testing, 402(g) and 415 testing and Forms 5500 and 8955-SSA preparation)
  • Works with SRT and proprietary Microsoft Access database recordkeeping and asset-management system
  • Assists Consultant with dealing with plan failures and possibly using self-correction and EPCRS / VCP programs
  • Keeps current with regulatory environment and maintains CPE requirements
  • Implements new Plan Documents


  • At least 5 years’ direct industry experience managing retirement plans at a senior level
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working with Daily Valuation platforms and related investment transactions and interfaces
  • 3 to 5 years working with Cross-Tested and other plan design software such as Datair, EBG or ASC
  • ASPPA certifications (QPA & QKA)
  • Series 65 or equivalent (Series 7 and 63 or 66)
  • Schwab Retirement Technologies (SRT) experience a plus

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
