Job Description

A day in the life of a Compliance Manager includes overseeing the compliance department in all aspects, ensuring the department produces high quality and accurate work, fostering employee education and professional growth, meeting all compliance deadlines, and exceeding client expectations.

The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, in- depth compliance knowledge, and strong relius experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Key areas of responsibility

  • Develop new technical skills and expand knowledge of regulations, systems, and software to find better ways to service our clients and adapt to system changes and upgrades
  • Oversee, train, and mentor department personnel
  • Ensure all department deadlines are met
  • Oversee annual compliance tests, including ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, coverage, and 401(a)(4)
  • Manage the preparation and filing of Form 5500 and all associated schedules
  • Establish department metrics, monitor results and work to improve performance
  • Review and manage distribution of work within department
  • Ensure that all work product meets the highest quality standards
  • Develop, maintain and test internal compliance procedures and controls
  • Help with department all hiring and termination decisions within department
  • Help to sustain a client-focused culture

Required Skills

  • Ability to utilize office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers throughout the work day
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner both in writing and over the phone
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to complete assignments quickly and accurately
